If you live in the Great State of Connecticut, today is the day to make your voice heard.
I am endorsing Ned Lamont over Joe “Senator Censorship” Lieberman.
Yes, that’s right, I am endorsing the NutRoots candidate. Here are my reasons:
The obvious reason is my feelings on Video Game Censorship. I emailed the Lamont campaign for his stance on this issue and they blew me off. I guess I too much of a wingnut to deal with. Here is the email exchange:

Subject: Position QuestionWhat is Mr. Lamont’s position on video game censorship? A very big part of
his opponent’s persona is tied to this issue and it is one that decides my
support at all levels.I would also like to have your permission to share your answer on the blog

The second reason is that Sen. Lieberman is in no real danger of losing the seat. He would completely destroy Mr. Lamont in November as in independent. So, while he will be still pushing for censorship, the votes on the war will be unchanged from Connecticut.
The last, and maybe best, reason is that a Lamont win just might completely destroy the NutRoots. They would be so full of themselves and drunk with victory that they would press for a 2008 Presidential candidate that has no chance of winning. I suspect that the Democrats, after losing in 2008 by a wide (Reagan circa 1984 like landslide) would be forced to leave the NutRoots to the Greens and become a credible rival to the GOP. That or see a new centrist party emerge to replace them.
So, if you are in Connecticut, please go to the polls and vote Lamont!
Update:Confederate Yankee has a similar take:
This is face of “liberalism” that I want the world to see, it all of its repulsive glory.Go read the whole thing. So please, Connecticut, vote for Ned Lamont.
It’s just what Dr. Rove ordered.
